Simultaneous Interpretation

Simultaneous interpretation, as its name suggests, takes place simultaneously with the speakers’ discourse. 2 specialised interpreters are needed in the booth and special equipment (booth, switching units, microphones, handsets, speakers and the assistance of at least one sound engineer). This type of interpretation is suitable for large events, such as conferences, summits, trainings, presentations etc.

Online/Remote Simultaneous Interpretation using various dedicated platforms, such as Zoom, Teams, Webex, Interprefy etc. Both the speakers, and the participants are connected online, from the comfort of their own office or home.

Hybrid Simultaneous Interpretation - is used when, within an onsite event, there are speakers or attendees who are not physically present in the room, but they connect online to listen or speak.

Tour Guide Simultaneous Interpretation - this is a solution for the cases which require freedom of movement, such as work visits, delegations, tour guides. The system consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The interpreter is not placed inside a booth, they listen to the speaker’s discourse without headsets and renders the message on the microphone, in real time.

Chuchotage 

It does not involve any technical equipment. The interpreter whispers to 1-2 persons the interpretation of the speaker's message, at the same time with the speaker. To this effect, the interpreter must be placed very close to the speaker, usually behind the speaker.

Consecutive Interpretation

The interpreter is waiting for the speaker to end their discourse or a few phrases and then, they render the speaker’s message, usually using the note taking technique. No special equipment is necessary. It is suitable especially for speeches, lectures, workshops, interviews, business meetings etc., where there is a small number of participants.
